Michele Navarra was a physician and member of Sicilian Mafia. He was born in January 5, 1905 in a middle class family. His father was a local school teacher and land surveyor. He completed his engineering and gets a degree of medicine from University of Palermo. He was a Captain of Italian army until 1942. In 1943 he joined in Sicilian Mafia and became a leader of Corleone.

Michele Navarra was dangerous in nature but well dressed and old fashioned. He always remained behind the murder but he did not kill anyone by his own hands. He was a man of skill and had strong political connections and that made him ferocious Mafia boss.

After Second World War the government gave Michele Navarra the right to collect Italian army vehicle and by using that vehicle he started trucking business. In 1946 he joined at Corleone hospital as top doctor. He became the director of that hospital and increased his power.

There was an upcoming Mafioso named Luciano Leggio who killed a Socialist leader Placido Rizzotto. But a 11 years old boy saw this murder and when the father took his shocked boy to hospital, Michele Navarra gave him an injection. The boy died and the blame of killing this boy goes to Michele Navarra. He was arrested but not convicted. Using his political connections he was able to return back to Corleone.

Meanwhile Leggio started working independently with his followers. Main conflict arose between Michele Navarra and Leggio when they were about to make a dam in a river.  Mafia earned huge money by controlling this water supply. Leggio wanted this large profit but Navarra opposed about it. Navarra invited Leggio and tried to kill but Leggio escaped. Leggio and his followers understood that they should strike back.

Some days later the dead bodies of Navarra and a fellow doctor who was not related to Mafia were found beside the road in Navarra’s car. They were going to home after work. Two vehicles blocked their car and killed by machine gun. After few weeks three friends of Navarra were also killed. After that murder Leggio was disappear. Leggio became the leader of Corleone Mafia.

Navarra was interested in power not money. He left for his wife a small land and house. Antimafia commission stated that Navarra had interest in power rather than money.
